Christmas Mood? - Here Is A List Of Great Music To Groove To

The festive season is here, people! And after what this year has been, there can't be a better medicine than music.Today I've compiled a rather short but elaborate list of songs and music albums that will get you straight into the Christmas feeling. 

1.Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special

Mariah Carey is known as the 'Queen of Christmas'. She released her first Christmas album titled Christmas in 1994. The evergreen track:All I Want for Christmas is You, is one of the 11 tracks in that album. 

It's probably one of the most festive Christmas songs there's ever been. Last year, the song charted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 1....25 years later!

On December 4th this year, Mariah did a Magical Christmas Special which streamed on iTv+. There were guests appearances from Snoop Dogg, Jennifer Hudson and Ariana Grande. The remake of Oh Santa was so amazing, where she teamed up with Ariana and Hudson. Imagine such a collaboration! 

The vocals here are to die for and will get you singing your lungs out all day.If you really want Santa to bring your 'boo' back...then this is the song!

2.Chance the Rapper and Jeremih : Merry Christmas Lil' Mama

Chance and his fellow artist from Chicago originally released this collaborative Christmas mixtape in 2016. The fusion of rap, rnb,funk, jazz and soul in the 10 songs just makes the mixtape a gem worth listening to. In the song Family for, the artists give thanks to God for everything... friends, family, and great health. The heavenly vocalizations in All the Way and Held it Down just set you right into the Christmas mood! 

The deluxe version of the mixtape was released this month with 2 new songs:The Return and Are You live. In The Return, Chance celebrates the return(no pun intended ) of Jeremih after he recovered from coronavirus. The video is already up on YouTube. 

Are You Live is a song which will make you dance all the way!

The track is so fun-infused and Chance and Jeremih do nothing but make you feel happier. 

3.Justin Bieber : Home For Christmas 

This 6 track EP was released on 4th December this year. Justin Bieber teams up with Chance the Rapper, Usher, Boyz II Men and Busta Rhymes to make you want to take the last train home for Christmas. Holy, the top ten single, was also factored into the EP.

 This track will leave you feeling so inspired and appreciate all the love that's around you. After what 2020 has has been, this is the track to make you shake it off. 

Busta Rhymes brings in his rhyme skills in Drummer Boy where it gets hot! Guitar notes, jingle bells and great vocals don The Christmas Song, Mistletoe and Santa is Coming to Town, injecting you with that irresistible festive mood.
