Music Albums Rocking 2020

You've heard them being played over and over again on radio,TV and in your favorite movies and TV programmes.

 It's midyear 2020 and I got a compilation of  music albums that have been rocking the airwaves since late last year.

1.Please Excuse me for being Antisocial by Roddy Ricch(2020)

And the album of the year goes to....this album was declared album of the year at this year's BET Awards! This was such a great feat and I believed it deserved the top spot in this post.For a new artist on the block,this was quite some excellent work.

The album spawned chart topping singles like The Box which rose to number 1 on the Billboard Chart for multiple weeks and High Fashion featuring DJ Mustard.

The album also features some great talent from hip hop big wigs like Meek Mill in Peta,Ty  Dolla $ign in Bacc Seat and Gunna in Start Wit Me.

The album has almost perfect  organization where the tracks phase into each other;creating a wholesome experience,making you feel like you're listening to one track all through.

You need some fresh vibe out there?Then you should probably give this one a listen.

2.The Saga of Wiz Khalifa by Wiz Khalifa(2020)

For a rapper who's known for getting high(actually higher than average), he made this surprise release on 20th April to celebrate 4/20.

The seven track album is most definitely a perfect blend of great music and any hip hop fan would undoubtedly vibe with it.Opening with an eclectic medley of Megan thee Stallion, Ty Dolla $ign and Mustard, Y U Mad is a track that kicks you off your feet.

Celebrating 4/20,Wiz remakes Don't Give me Bammer Weed, the 1992 track by RBL Posse into Bammer,where Mustard infuses a juicy taste of jazz.

Your gang is passing the blunt and you got no tracks to go with?You just got the perfect album to go with. (Thank me later 😂)

3.Midnight Train by Sauti Sol (2020)

Sauti Sol,the best boy band in Africa,blessed the continent with such a coming of age album. The lead singles were just to die for:Suzanna became an anthem in Kenya for about a month and then Insecure must have unearthed some relationship troubles.

The infusion of Jazz,rhumba and mellow Afro beats into most of the tracks makes this a masterpiece worth listening to.

4.Rare by Selena Gomez (2020)

You wanna jump into some blissful romance of bittersweet? Selena Gomez got you!

Selena,being relevant since 2009,is still around and Rare; her third solo album, just proves she's still that hot.

She speaks about her fight with Lupus disease in Look at Her Now and brings in some great dance vibe with tracks like Let Me Get Me and Fun.

If you really wanna spread that romantic romantic vibe, then go ahead and listen to Crowded Room. (Thank me later once again)

5.Heavy is the Head by Stormzy(2019)

Released in December 2019,this must have been the next big thing for this British rapper after his independently released debut album, Gang Signs and Prayer in 2017.Stormzy;the acclaimed King of Grime,really proved he deserves that crown.

With chart breaking singles like Own It and Vossi Bop the album was greatly complemented.Throughout the sixteen track album, there is a call to black people pride,confidence,resilience,love and hope.

This is definitely the album to get you rising to the occasion!

6.Romance by Camilla Cabello (2019)

A former Fifth Harmony member,she's undoubtedly the most successful right now compared to her former band mates. Releasing Romance in December last year; her sophomore studio album, she seems to be taking shots.

The album is exactly what the title      suggests:romance,romance and more if it!The infusion of Latin flavour in Living Proof, jazz in Cry For Me and sentimentality in First Man,this is the perfect album for your next date!
